Social Risk Quantifier

Everyone in this field can cite the finding that community conflict costs 50 to 70 percent of a project's net present value. Almost nobody can tell a CFO what it is costing their project. This is the tool for that conversation.

The problem it solves

Social risk loses every internal budget argument for one reason: it arrives as a narrative while everything it competes with arrives as a number. The community relations manager describes a deteriorating relationship. The capital paper quantifies a conveyor.

The Quantifier converts what a social performance team already knows into a defensible range: the cost of the delay scenarios that are actually plausible for this project, in this jurisdiction, at this stage. Not a risk score out of a hundred. A number with the working shown, which is the only kind a finance function will argue with rather than dismiss.

It will live at getsocialaccord.com, alongside the rest of the Social Accord Architecture product family. That address is not live yet.

What it takes as input

  • Project value, schedule and the cost of a month of delay
  • Current engagement posture and grievance volume
  • Permitting exposure and the consent processes still open
  • Comparable disruption events in the same jurisdiction

Hear when it launches

One email when it opens, and one if I run an early access round. I will also ask a handful of people to test the model against a real project, so say if you would be up for that.

Legacy Grievances and Historical Claims

The tenth and final volume completes the library. It is the field guide to harm that outlived the operation: transitional justice adapted to corporate disputes, successor liability when the asset changes hands, and the pathway behind more than two thousand resolved claims.
